As you know if you are reading my travel page I had a Singapore Sling today at Raffles in the Long Bar which was invented there, so let's tell you about it.
This cocktail was invented and created in 1915 by Ngiam Tong Boon at Raffles Singapore. At this time women were not allowed to drink alcohol in public so Ngiam created to drink to reach that target audience so that the drink would look like some kind of fruity punch.
I have had a Singapore Sling before on my birthday when I went got for a meal, but obviously this cocktail was much better.
