Narina

Hey,

While I was looking through my photography the other day I came across a photo that I actually meant to post about so here it is.

This Photograph was taken while my cousin came to visit and we went to explore Plymouth together. This photo reminds me of a scene in Narina where Lucy meets Mr. Tumus under the Lamp post.

This scene is so iconic and it basically starts the movie but it is also a symbol of escape as this is where the main characters have to go to escape whether from Narina or their home. It could be either as in both places there is a war going on.

Raft Race

Hey,

So this weekend there was a raft race held at the Barbican waterfront and I decided I would go and watch, but don't worry, of course, I took photos. This is me we are talking about.

As we had great weather in Plymouth that day I got creative on my walk to the Barbican via the Hoe. as well as the walk back via town. So here are some of my creative works:

The Raft race was amazing! Each raft was created differently and many of them related to the media as they linked to films. There were: Alice in Wonderland, Stars Wars, Pirates and the Caribbean, Ninja Turtles, and Peter Pan. However, that is only naming a few there were much more.

Easter Break

Hey,

I'm late again sorry, but here is what I got up to on my easter break. However, before I start I just want to say that I hope you have all had a great easter.

I spent my easter at my grandparent in Devon where my parents and sister also join about half way through my trip which was great to have some family time a relax.

This post is going to be made up of mostly photo as I would like to share my photography of this time period.

So here we go;

One day, I traveled with my grandma around Brixham which involved looking around charity shops, exploring the harbor, having a nice lunch and even a boat trip to Torquay so it was easier for grandad to pick us up.

So funny, just had to add it in

I have this tradition of going to 'China Blue' when I visit my Grandparents so obviously got to keep it going. I actually ended up going twice; once with my grandma and once with my mother. Therefore I now have a plate to add to my collection and a very useful teapot and tea cup (I ran out of places to paint)

Grandma's work

Mother's work

When I spent time at my grandparents I got back into baking which I love to do so I thought I would share photos of my baking which I did alone as well as with my sister, Nicola.

Finally, it's not Easter break without your easter meal! so here are some photos I felt like sharing with you all.

Thanks for Reading and looking,

Mother's Day

Hey,

Sorry for the late post but haven’t had the internet for a few days, however, let’s get back to it.

On Mother’s Day, I went to the morning service where there was a talk as usual which you will hear about soon as I will be writing a blog post about it shortly. Anyway, after this, the children came back and we celebrated Mother’s Day as a church.

The children all joined us from the back of the church and went to sit at the front, but on their way, they handed out packets of Thorntons chocolate to the women of the church. This meant that I got a packet of chocolate and lucky for me it was dark chocolate. In case you didn’t know I can’t drink milk or anything that contains it.

After all the women had their chocolate, a video played thanking the mothers’ for being who they are which also included what they do and how they can be like: a teacher, a counselor, and a protector.

They then played a quiz game where they had 2 mum’s and their child or children stand at the front on the top level, our church as two levels. A famous mum would come up onto the screen and the mums would have to answer from the cards that members of the church (on the top floor) held, and then they would have to get their child (only one so it is fair) to run and collected the card and the first one back would win a point. They were two sets of cards in different colours, blue for one team and yellow for the other.

In the end, it was a draw.

Hope you all had a great Mother’s Day

Easter Egg Hunt

Hey,

So a few weeks ago at Rainbows was the last week before Easter Break, so naturally, the session was all about Easter.

Using the Easter baskets the children had made the week before they had to go on an egg hunt,
obviously chocolate eggs but some hidden in plastic eggs and there were also chicks to find. It was quite funny because whenever there were no more to find the leaders would say that they didn’t have any and the Rainbows were nice enough to give us some which we then ran and hid in the hall or garden depending on where the children were.

This lasted the entire night and was really fun and hey who needs to go to the gym when you can just run around hiding chocolate Easter eggs.

Thanks for Reading and enjoy your Easter Break
