Parable of the sower and the soil

Hello,

Today at the CU central I came across new songs which inspired me. One was 'Guardian' which I feel was say that God is always looking over us and will never stop loving each and every one of us. The other song 'Inside Out' I feel is also about love and how God loves every part of us from the inside out and always will.

When talking about the parable of the Sower you need to think about the soil being the heart of man and the seed being the word of God and then looking at Matthew 13:1-23 in sections.

Matthew 13:3-4

"Once there was a man who went out to sow corn. As he scattered the seed in the field, some of it fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up."

Some seeds will also get stepped on as well as eaten by birds and therefore lost but a farmer would not and does not give up. This is a demonstration of faith in God because heart of a man that wants to do it themselves and therefore doesn't want to know leaves no room for God's word, that is the seed we sow.

Judgement - There will be a time when we will not understand as we reject God which is why he spoke to them in Parables.

Matthew 13:5-6

"Some of it fell on rocky ground, where there was little soil. The seeds soon sprouted, because the soil wasn't deep. But when the sun came up, it burnt the young plants; and because the roots had not grown deep enough, the plants soon dried up."

As quickly as it grew, it withers and dies. Someone with faith would give up, however the heart is not prepared for the cost of following God and therefore turns away.

1 Peter 5:10

"But after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who calls you to share his eternal glory in union with Christ, will himself perfect you and give you firmness, strength, and a sure foundation."

What is intended to deepen and confirm faith, destroys and weakens it.

Matthew 13:22

"The seeds that fell among thorn bushes for those who hear the message; but the worries about this life and the love for riches choke the message, and they bear fruit."

JUST SOW THE SEED

You must share your faith through the seed that is the word of God, and remember that the sower is not the key, the seed is because it's the seed that is going to grow inside us.

Finally, here are some news songs that I came across in this meeting that I fell could inspire you.

Thanks for reading hope to talk again soon and fill free to leave any comments.

Happy New Year

Hey everyone,

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are enjoying the new year.

Due to my Film School course work deadline submission I didn't make it to the church service this week and Christian Union was basically welcome back and worship so here is what happened this week.

First, I heard a new song I hadn't hear before 'Beneath the Waters' which I found inspirational because it made me feel like Jesus sets us free so we can rise into our life and have no fear of the future. I also hear a song I have heard before and loved 'One Thing Remain' that I love because it reminds me of the love that surrounds me by the people in my life as well as from God.

In this first CU central of the new year they spoke about UNCOVER which is a way to talk to people about the faith of Jesus Christ and help God reach people. We are starting with John as I think they did Luke last year, we were given books to hand out in mission week (1st - 5th Feb) which will create a starting point to talk to someone about.

Have a great week
