How can I keep going?

Hey,

So today was the final day of the Keswick Convention week 2 and therefore my final day in Keswick. This evening was the final talk and therefore this is my final post on the Keswick Convention, However I will be adding a post on my travel page about the adventures I had in Keswick, but it will be a while as I have yet to post about my Australia adventures.

The speaker Jeremy talk today was about Hebrews 12:1-17 and that this is your time to do the best as well as the most with your life.

Hebrews 12:1-3

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy that was set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart."

Run the race that is set out for you and run it with perseverance. Christian life is a race with obstacles and therefore you can be off balance as they may way you down, so think about what is holding you back from living your life of faith, such as; Money, Social Media, etc. Stop looking at others and worrying about their path but focus on your own road ahead and kept looking to Jesus who suffered for us, and therefore his story is our story.

Hebrews 12:4

"In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood."

Submit to God's discipline

Hebrews 12:5

"And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? it says 'My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,"

Don't loose heart in suffering but remember that God loves you and sees you as a son or daughter. God allows both good and bad, but we notice the bad more. You need to remember that suffering doesn't mean God doesn't love us but allows pain because he is our heavenly father that disciplines us.

Hebrews 12:7

"Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father?"

God treats us as his children so we are disciplined through life issues.

C.S.Lewis says that 'God's whispers in pleasure, talks in conscience and shouts in pain'.

Hebrews 12-14

"Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees. 'Make level paths for your feet.' so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed."

Pursue God's best and therefore your best

Hebrews 15-16

"See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many. See that no one is sexually immoral, or is godless like Esau, who for a single meal sold his inheritance rights as the oldest son."

God's grace is the most wonderful thing that wills us to give him our best. Don't take God's grace lightly so don't give up and give into physical desires but finish the task the lord gave you, because at the end you will receive the glory of Heaven.

C.S.Lexis says that 'Life if just like the prologue of the book'. We haven't even started yet.
