The first stop on this trip was the blue caves which my
sister really wanted to visit this holiday. The boat stopped near to the caves
so you could either jump off the boat or use the steps into the water to swim
to the caves. Everyone in my family used the stairs excluding my mum who
decided not to go due to not liking to swim where she cannot stand. Once off
the boat we swam to the entrance of the caves and continued swimming until we
reached another arch that was the entrance to the cave which was where it got
shallow so everyone could stand. Although this lead to a few banged knees and
toes. While in the cave we stood up as the water was freezing so that only half
our body was in the cold water. I enjoyed swimming into the caves and looking
at how part of the water would light up in a turquoise/light blue colour as well
as the stalactites found on the cave walls. However, I didn’t like how we had
to wait for everyone from the boat to swim in before we could leave or when the
torch would be switched off so it was pitch black which was horrible.
The next stop on our trip was Cres which is a quaint little
town. However, before arriving there Nicola and I played many games of hangman
as my phone battery died just before the caves. Cres was a nice little town
where we were able to explore and get a gift for grandma who was taking care of
our dog, Lily.
Our final stop was an exclusive beach where we were able to
swim in the sea for about an hour. My sister and I spent some time searching
for fishes under the water and were able to find some.
Once back on the boat we travelled back to Rabac and on the way we were able to see some Dolphins. I saw them jumping out of the water bur was unable to capture this on camera. However, I did get some photographs and it was quick fun to not only see dolphins but also rocking the boat as almost everyone travelled to one side of the boat. Don't worry we didn't capsize.
