Bresto Bar

Hey,

This was a great restaurant that had lovely food, amazing cocktails and a wonderful atmosphere.

To start with me and Sue shared 2 starters and they were; octopus with mayonnaise that was dyed to look like squad ink which was great but I didn't like the taste and I'm not sure that Sue did either, and raw beef that you may think that's horrible but you would be wrong it had an amazing taste.

As a main course I had grilled chicken with vegetables and it was lovely but not much to say. Sue had fish and chips which may make you think are you sure your're in Singapore but the fish was Seabass which is unusual to have is batter, plus Singapore is a country that imports stuff from all over including food so it's very likely that you will find English food here.

Swim

Hey,

Well I slept ok since it was my first night after a 13 hour flight so I was a bit jet lagged. I woke up a 3 and couldn't go back to sleep but Sue was also awake and she had already been there for 2 nights and had less flight time. She went back to sleep. After we had breakfast together she went to work and I managed to go back to sleep until 10am.

When I woke up my phone wasn't working so that was fun, gave it a rest and spent the whole day without it but that meant if Sue messaged me I wouldn't get it.

My day was basically unpacking, swimming, laying by the pool and repeat. It was very relaxing and so far I think I have been swimming everyday but one.

Now for the evening, we (me and my aunt) went out to Bistro Bar which had a wonderful atmosphere. (Read more about it on my food page). On the way we walked through a shopping centre where there was a yoga lesson going on that you can join, we didn't has had not mat and didn't really want to, I was hungry.

Oysters

Hey,

So if you haven't read by travel page I should tell you that I am currently in Singapore and on my first evening here I tried something new. This may be a shock but I had never had oysters before so that's what I had.

Me and my aunt went to a restaurant in Chimes, but I'm afraid I can't remember what it was called. We ordered half a dozen oysters, 3 each. When we got them there were 2 from different countries which were Australian, French and Pacific.

We had them with different flavours;

Pacific with lemon that was nice, Australian with vinegar which was the largest plus too much vinegar, and finally was the French that was the best and I had it with whisky but you couldn't taste that.

If I were to have it again I would have lemon with the French oysters and that would be perfect.

That's it for now, comment below and share your experiences with oysters.
